Bechnough Bridge- Popular tout, Kudakwashe Ocram Magaya Mushayi (37) from Bechnough Bridge was found dead in a bush near Bechnough Bridge Hotel where he was having a good time with a woman who did not have bus fare.
It is alleged that on February 24 Magaya met Gracious Maruta of Corner Village, Chipinge at the rank where she was waiting for her boyfriend Webster Komonde (26) who had promised to pay forward for her transportation since she had visited him from Chipinge.
Maruta tried his boyfriend’s mobile cellphone but was not reachable and she shared her problem with Mushayi who promised to pay for her USD $3 fare to Hellington Choga,the combi driver in exchange for sexual pleasure in which she consented to.
At 14:30 hours the two were dropped near Bechnough Bridge Hotel and went into the bush. It is said that during the act Mushayi became unconscious and fell on the ground.
Maruta ran off from the scene to the rank and found her boyfriend waiting for her and left for home.
On 25 February a Freeman Asima (36) at around 16:00 hours was passing by going to his garden and saw the deceased’s body under a tree and reported the matter to Birchenough Bridge police station.
Maruta was taken for questioning by the police and revealed what had transpired. The body went through post mortem and no injuries were found and she was set free.
