MASVINGO- An 18-year -old woman from Nyengera Village, Headman Madyangove under Chief Chivi was last week slapped with a five-year jail term when he appeared before Masvingo Magistrate Innocent Bepura facing charges of culpable homicide.
According to court records, Jennifer Gandiwa (18) negligently caused the death of Christopher Tsuro after she crushed him on the wall following a misunderstanding.
On October 13, 2024 at around 2300hrs, Tsuro went to the accused person’s place where he asked to have sex. The accused agreed on condition that Tsuro pays US$3. 00 which he paid.
He was invited on the bed and he took off all his clothes. He failed to have sex with the accused person as he was drunk and they spent the whole night together.
The following morning, at around 0500hrs, the now deceased demanded his money back. He was handed the money and was ordered to leave the place.
Tsuro refused to vacate the house, prompting the accused person to get hold of him.
She dragged Tsuro outside the house whilst naked. She then pushed the now deceased from the door to the veranda and the now deceased crushed on the wall and fell unconscious.
The accused dragged Tsuro from the veranda to the back of the main house where he was left naked with his clothes placed by his side.
Tsuro later succumbed to the injuries and a police report was made leading to Gandiwa’s arrest.
