Speeding Chipinge pirate Honda Fit kills 2

CHIPINGE-Two people including the driver perished when a speeding pirate Honda Fit which was being driven by Norman Khumba, 24, of Gaza Township in Chipinge overturned several times before landing on its side after he lost control of the vehicle.

The Honda Fit which had four passengers was due east along Skyline-Waterfalls road near Christina Dairy Farm overturned at the 51km peg killing the driver, Norman, and Blessed Muyambo, 40, of 18 Sterks Room, Chipinge on the spot as they sustained serious head injuries.

The fatal road accident was confirmed by Manicaland province deputy police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka.

Chinyoka told The Midweek Watch that the accident happened on June 2 at around 4pm and Chipinge traffic police attended the scene and the bodies of the deceased were taken to Chipinge District Hospital for postmortem while the injured were also taken to the same hospital.

“Speed thrills but it kills, motorists should desist from speeding and observe all road traffic rules all the time to avoid fatal accidents,” said Chinyoka.
