ZVISHAVANE- Small to Medium Enterprises for Economic Development (SMEs4ED) has launched the Zvishavane Chapter at a colourful ceremony last Saturday at Gresham Primary School as part of mobilizing support for President Mnangagwa in the forthcoming harmonized elections.

SMEs from Zvishavane led by Midlands Province chairperson, Bigboy Murenga expressed commitment to contributing to the growth of the country’s economy. Murenga rallied the launch as he highlighted its importance in business development in the small mining town.

“We want to vote for our President, MPs and councillors so that we can continue with our goals of Vision 2030. We play an integral party in the growth of the nation.

“We learnt a lot from the launch of this chapter because it has enlightened us on ways to improve our businesses and also not forgetting to vote resoundingly for the party and the President,” said Murenga.

SMEs national chairperson, Llyod Bahera unpacked some of the programmes that are meant to improve the SMEs sector.

“We are here to launch the district chapter and it’s the first in the province. As leadership we have some programmes that we have that are meant for our SMEs since they are playing an integral part in boosting the economy of the country,” said Bahera.

ZANU PF Central Committee member, Marufu Sithole  commended the affiliate for launching the district chapter.

“Let’s not get carried away by the stance of opposition, they have nothing to offer but to add misery to our lives through begging for the sanctions from the west, so let’s vote for the party and the President.” Said Sithole.

Small to medium enterprises in the Midlands Province have commended the second Republic for continuously striving to create a conducive business environment for growth.

SMEs sector in Zimbabwe is a critical part of the national economy which forms an important pillar of the national development agenda, Vision 2030, which seeks to attain an upper middle income society by 2030.
