SILOBELA – Police (ZRP) in the Midlands Province is appealing for information leading to the arrest of a Silobela man accused of murdering his wife in a brutal domestic incident.
Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident to The Midweek Watch.
“Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms receiving a report of a case of murder which occurred on August 8, 2025 at about 0600hrs at Magodhi Village under Chief Malisa in Silobela”, he said.
According to Mahoko, it is alleged that Edward Moyo (30) was at home with his wife, Noleen Mudzviti (30), when a heated misunderstanding broke out. Moyo is accused of assaulting his wife multiple times with an unknown object until she lost consciousness.
Inspector Mahoko said Mudzviti’s body, which bore whip marks all over, was discovered at around 8pm the same day. Moyo allegedly fled the scene after packing his belongings.
“We are appealing for anyone who have knowledge of Moyo’s whereabouts to contact any nearest police,” he said.
