MASVINGO CITY-In a bizarre incident that has shocked the Masvingo City community, an 11 year old boy reportedly stole US$1 700 that was kept at home by his parents.
The Midweek Watch is reliably informed that the incident happened yesterday and the boy was reported to the Police where he is detained.
Some people from the neighborhood said, the boy could have been sent by some elderly friends whom he hangs around with and are engaged in substance abuse.
Masvingo Provincial Community Public Relations and Liaison Officer, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said the report had not reached their desk by today afternoon.
Sources told The Midweek that the boy is detained at Chikato Police Station in Mucheke Suburb.
