Sheasham in search of elusive first win of season
SPORTS REPORTER
MIDLANDS – After their relegation from the Premier Soccer League, Gweru City based Sheasham FC were considered one of the favorites to win the title.
However, with three games played, the future has remained bleak as they are still in search of a first win of the season which is proving to be elusive.
They have three draws from their three matches they have played so far. It is the similar fashion like last season they had so many draws in the beginning of the season in the PSL resulting in them being relegated.
Saturday April 27,2024 at Bata Stadium the Construction Boys will face new comers, West Nicholson FC who are yet to taste defeat as they have two wins and a draw in their first three games.
They are third on the log on goal difference. This match will be a make or break for coach Lizwe Sweswe as a defeat will see them seven points off the pace at the summit in the early stages.
Sheasham made a whole lot of changes to the squad they had last season with the likes of Polyester Shoko, Liberty Masveure leaving the club.
This revamp has seen the team struggling to finish off games like their rivals in Chapungu, Tongogara and their opponents are doing.
Sheasham FC coach, Lizwe Sweswe said they are ready for the encounter and they are hoping for a positive outcome.
