…Britto unhappy

Gweru-Following a dull encounter which ended in a draw between Sheasham FC and Highlanders yesterday at the newly homologated Bata Stadium in Gweru, Bosso head coach, Baltermar Britto expressed disappointment over his side’s wasteful performance in the second half.
Britto went on to accuse Sheasham goalie, Elton Sibanda of disrupting his team’s momentum through time-wasting antics.
“I’m very disappointed with this result. We did play as planned. People came all the way to support the team, but in the second half, they only watched the goalkeeper (Elton Sibanda) lying down,” he added.
Sheasham head coach, John Nyikadzino however said he was happy to salvage a point from the oldest club in the country who are sitting on top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League log.
“We knew Highlanders would attack hence the strategy to hold them especially in the opening 15 minutes.
“We did that and with some bit of luck, maybe we could have gotten a win as we had two chances that we blew away,” said Nyikadzino.
Despite dominating the game, Bosso failed to register a shot on target in the first half as Stanley Ngala’s golden chance went wide, much to the amusement of the vociferous crowd.
