MBERENGWA-Mberengwa based ZIFA Midlands Province Division 2 debutants, Great Dyke FC aka Serengeto Boys have maintained their vice grip tight at the top of the log after dismissing Chachacha FC by a solitary goal last weekend.
This was Serengeto Boys’ first away win which has ensured that they remain on top of the log enhancing their chances of promotion into the ZIFA Central Region D1 come end of season.
Alexander Hall netted his second goal of the season which proved to be priceless as it separated the two teams with the Serengto Boys now having amassed 13 points in 5 matches.
Black Eagles FC are on second position.
The win was their first away from home after they drew one all against Midlands FC in their first game away from their fortress at Education Grounds in Mberengwa.
The result left the club manager, Ashel Gutu in cloud nine as his charges are yet to taste defeat in the unbranded league.
“I am naturally excited that the boys are raring to go and hope they keep the momentum and spirit. Our main target is Division One football next year.
“My desire is to have a well-wisher who would invest in the team so it reaches its potential in the same vain l would like to thank those that are currently making things happen as this is the only option we have and the boys are repaying the faith by those helping the club by winning matches which will motivate would be well-wishers,” said Gutu.
