Masvingo CBD airtime vendor Ronnie Mupawaenda who recently scammed a colleague, Nickson Kwirirai of $1 250 is at it again as he allegedly conned a CBD shop of four smart phones.
Ronnie allegedly conned Etienne Makotose four smart phones worth $360 at Long House Building adjacent to Nyaningwe Supermarket along Emmerson Mnangagwa Street on May 31 at around 10 a.m. Makotose told The Midweek Watch that Ronnie used to be her reliable business client, where he would come and take phones for resell to his customers and sometimes return later the same day with the money.
“However, it was different this time as he came and said he had clients at a nearby car sale, so he took 2 Itel A70s costing $190, an Itel A06 for $75, and a Redmi A3 for $95.
“I have tried to call him several times, but he is not picking up calls.”
Masvingo Province police deputy spokesperson Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu said he was out of the office and had not received the report yet.
