Masvingo Rural- Zivezano High School scooped a soccer tournament recently held at Zivezano High School in Masvingo Central Constituency under, Chief Murinye in ward 16.
Four secondary schools clashed in soccer and netball, Daitai, Makoni, Rambakutemwa and Zivezano High School.
Zivezano came first in both soccer and netball under 20 and for their efforts got a trophy, netball kits, balls and medals.
Daitai Secondary School was second in soccer and received a kit, balls and medals while Mazani came second in Netball.
The guest of honour at the tournament was the sponsor and former student, a successful businessman Richard Masendeke and his wife Vimbai who owns Richvim Construction. The company has branches in Harare and Bulawayo.
The tournament was run under the theme MAP Motivate Iearners.
The company was registered in 2017 and started operations independently in 2020 August. Masendeke has a vast experience in construction, being a civil and structural engineer with more than 10 years of experience and has worked for BCHOD Consulting Engineers, DEPM Consulting Engineers and Leafway Construction (Pvt) Ltd before working as a rising entrepreneur with his wife Vimbai.
‘’ We won an award for Fast Growing Construction Company at HICC from the Community Trailblazers Awards formerly (Community News Awards 2022).
“We were happy to have referees from ZIFA and ZINA, respectively,‘’ said Masendeke.
