MASVINGO-It was a night filled with the Holy Spirit as worshippers from various denominations in Masvingo and beyond converged at Mamutse Stadium in Mucheke for a revival night with a difference.

More than 10 000 worshippers thronged the open stadium on January 27 to listen and witness the Lord at work as His sons and daughters took turns to praise and perform miracles.

The all night praise and worship themed ‘Voice of Revival’ was organised by famous Reverend Ntobeko and Standazile Mhlanga of Glory Temple Ministries in Masvingo and was graced by South Africa based singer and Minister Takesure Zamar Ncube with the Worship Addicts, Dr Ian Ndlovu who shared the word first, Minister Ellard and Sharon Cherayi, Nyasha Mutonhori, Pastor Chiriga among others.

The unique revival started at 7pm on Friday and spilled over to Saturday morning as worshippers danced and praised throughout the night with demons being cast out and some being blessed and delivered.

A man from Mhandamabwe in Chivi North, who came on a wheelchair was prayed on and healed as he went home walking with no aid.

“I am impressed by this kind of worship, I can feel the Holy Spirit and would like to thank Rev Mhlanga for organising such a rare event.

“More of these events should be organised so that our nation can be delivered form evil and our youth can stop indulging in dangerous drugs which are threatening a whole generation,” said Sikakuku Maboya from Mwenezi under Chief Chitanga who had come for the event.

“This was a first for Masvingo as we witnessed pastors, preachers, evangelists from all denominations converging for the word of God.

“The organisation was fantastic, the PA system was next to none, it was a mega feast. The revival brought Masvingo down as it reverberated across the city,” said Tracy Wakatama Chuma from Rujeko Suburb in Masvingo.
