Masvingo- Assistant Priest at St Patrick Gokomere Mission Reverend Fr Kudzai Bakuri’s father Severino Bakuri is no more, Masvingo Diocese Vicar General Fr Samson Mutsvanga confirmed the sad development.
Fr Mutsvanga said Bakuri died today at 5am from kidney problem at Masvingo 24 Hour Medical Centre in Masvingo City where he was admitted.
He was 68.
Bakuri was a member of the St Joseph Guild in the Roman Catholic Church.
“We register our heartfelt condolences to Rev Fr Bakuri, the family, relatives, friends and the entire Catholic Diocese of Masvingo. May God grant him everlasting rest in our eternal home,” said Fr Mutsvanga.
Mourners are gathered at his house in Mucheke, Masvingo and burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
Bakuri worked as Head at St Mary’s Eben Primary School in Gutu, Deputy Head at Mukaro CPS, Deputy head Bondolfi CPS, Head at Don Bosco Primary and Head Rufaro Primary School.
