NEMAMWA-In a historic move, fast growing fuel supplier, Energy Express fronted by aggressive businessman, Julius Marimbire, has opened the first ever service station at the sprawling Nemamwa Growth Point in Masvingo Rural on August 4, 2025.

The newly established Energy Express Service Station at Nemamwa Growth Point.

The service station is set to bring relief to tourists visiting the Great Zimbabwe Monuments, the second largest water body in the country, the mighty Lake Mutirikwi and the scenic Morgenster and Mapanzure area.

It was a dream come true for most motorists who had been accustomed to fueling their vehicles under trees playing hide and seek to the marauding eyes of the law enforcement agents to have their cars filled with the precious liquid from a registered service station and being able to see the readings from the pump for the first time.

The gas filling port is already operational much to the relief of residents.

“I never thought I would fill up my tank with petrol while watching the pump price movement from the comfort of my car at Nemamwa Growth Point, thanks to this visionary businessperson who opened Energy Express for us here at Nemamwa Growth Point, where fuel is now available 24 hours a day.

“These are the type of visionary investments that we have been yearning for ever since, for a long time, we felt cursed until the opening of this service station and we hope other line businesses will follow suit for employment creation for our youths and the benefit of the residents,” said Catherine Gwangwava who has a thriving mixed farming plot in the area.

Marambire told The Midweek Watch that their intention is not to make it only the flagship service station of the Growth Point, but the entire district as customers should brace themselves for more exciting add ons besides fuel.

“We are in this industry to make a difference, not fly by night service providers, and already we have set up a gas station at the 4000m2 premise besides petrol and diesel for the Nemamwa residents to enjoy measured gas.

“Our personnel which is gender balanced is highly trained, we don’t just employ anyone, but we do due diligence for customer integrity and focus before one joins our team.

“We have zero tolerance towards customer complaints, our priority is to make the customer happy and we don’t tolerate any misfits in that area from our side.

“All the expected services will be available and our primary aim is to be 5 star ZERA rated as soon as possible,” said Marimbire who intends to spread his tentacles throughout the country in the not so distant future.

The convenience shop is almost complete and there are spic and span toilets for customers as well as tyre pressure, Ecocash is accepted, swipe is also available and a state of the art car wash especially for those coming from the monuments and general customers.

They also offer windscreen cleaning and free oil check ups including tyre pressure, water levels and many others.

The revolutionary service station which was coincidentally opened in the month of commemorating the past and present heroes and heroines was started in February and opened to the public on August 4 is a testament of the country’s black empowerment drive.

“We have no fuel shortage worries here as our storage capacity is 40 000litres for both petrol and diesel respectively and suppliers are readily available as you can see that a tanker is always on standby (see pic) on daily basis to fill up whenever there is need,” added Marimbire.

This is the second service station that Marimbire has opened in less than 12 months after another one in Masvingo City along Simon Muzenda Street.
