ZVISHAVANE – Two time Netball Premier League Champions, Platinum Queens have leapfrogged Ngezi Queens to top spot after securing four victories in Mutare on Saturday.
The win means now after 30 games played they are top with 58 points six ahead of Ngezi Queens who have three games lesser.
The Zvishavane based side won 50-9 against Marondera before they hammered Mutare City 53-9, then recorded a 40-0 victory over Lupane and then beat FZJC 49-10.
The results were confirmed to the Midweek Watch by the PNL chairperson Sarudzai Chapo.
The champions will be out of action this week as they will watch third placed Greenfuel battle it out against Harare City Queens and ZDF Queens.
The Simbarashe Mlambo coached Platinum Queens are chasing a record third successive title but this time it will go straight to the wire as they have stiff competition from fellow platinum miners in Ngezi and Greenfuel.
