This letter is set to put the record straight on the on going publication of the Chiredzi stands which were allegedly stolen from the residents by Zanu PF councillors and then Chairman of the Council.
As Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) our hands are very clean as we never took part in the gargantuan theft of the residents’ stands.
On top of the theft of stands Chiredzi Town Council sold residential stands on wetlands since 2013 upto date.We are aware that there is corruption on allocating of stands in the local authority.
But we CCC we don’t associate ourselves with such activities. We know the main actor is allegedly, Francis Moyo who is well known for land grabbing and some dubious corrupt activities in Chiredzi District. Last week there was an article which circulated around the world about the land corruption activities by Zanu PF and MDC Alliance councilors. The public must be informed that we as CCC we don’t have any of our Councillors who is involved.
We don’t tolerate corrupt activities in our party. We have a running system to make sure our deployees are not involved in corrupt activities. Our party is citizen centered, we listen to the citizens and we protect the citizens’ interests.
We call upon ZACC to investigate the Chiredzi Town Council scandal.
