ZVISHAVANE -The biggest funeral assurance company in the country which also offers financial services, Nyaradzo Group and State owned telecommunications giant NetOne have honored yesteryear track and field star Eliot Mujaji for his sterling contribution to the sport.
The colourful event which was sponsored by Nyaradzo and NetOne was held at the Harare International Conference Center (HICC) last week.

Living Legends event seeks to honour big names in sports, arts, and broadcasting while they are still alive.
The event was organised by ZTV presenter Massy Bandamakara for guests who have featured on her Living Legends show.
The occasion was meant to honor Mujaji’s enduring legacy as a revered athlete in the country and an inspiration to many.
Mujaji gained recognition for his achievements in athletics particularly in the 100 meters discipline. Mujaji notably won a gold medal in the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games, representing Zimbabwe. His victory marked a historic moment for Zimbabwean athletics, establishing him as a notable figure in the country’s sporting history.
Speaking to The Midweek Watch, the Shbanie Mine employee, Mujaji said he was humbled by the gesture.
“It was made possible by NetOne and Nyaradzo Group, who were honouring the living legends, it was awesome and l am greatly humbled by such a kind gesture from Mussy our host,” said the Zvishavane based Mujaji.

Those honoured include singers Pastor Charles Charamba, Nicholas Senior Lecturer Madzibaba Zacharia, footballers Steward Shuto Murisa, Lloyd Samaita Mutasa, Alois Kriss Kross Bunjira, Energy Zikeeper Murambadoro and Stix Stike Mutizwa in the soccer category, Steve Mukwasha Vickers, Ruben Ruuuu Barwe Aaron Chiwundura Moyo and many others.
