A notorious robber, Tawanda Dovi Dhandanda (42) from Village Dovi under Chief Charumbira, has been apprehended, bringing an end to his reign of terror.
Dhandanda was arrested last Wednesday.
According to ZRP Masvingo Province Spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa, Dhandanda was responsible for six robbery cases, with investigations still ongoing.
Dhandanda singularly operated along Powerlines, using a knife and a trowel to intimidate his victims.
His series of crimes were committed across Masvingo and Beitbridge, where he was on the wanted list.
The stolen items, valued at $USD1 320, included various goods, some of which have been recovered, totaling $USD630.
Inspector Dhewa confirmed the arrest and recovery of stolen goods, bringing relief to the some of the affected communities.
“Investigations are still ongoing, and therefore, any information about Dhandanda that can assist the police should be reported immediately to the nearest police station,” said Inspector Dhewa.
