ZVISHAVANE -Following the departure of their star, Walter Musona, there was worry as to who would fill in the big shoes left, fortunately Juan Mutudza has come forward in a big way and is now proving to be the main man at FC Platiunm.
The 24 year old Midfielder has two goals in two games that he has played, and all came at very crucial moments when the team was on the verge of losing or drawing.
His first goal was against new boys Chegutu Pirates when his team was about to settle for a defeat he scored the solitary goal that made them collect all three points, he missed the team’s second game of the season due to a funeral that had occurred.
Two weeks ago FC Platinum was on the verge of tasting first defeat of the season, he stepped up and restored parity to the match that ended in a 2-2 draw.
His performance is becoming crucial for FC Platinum who this season seek to retain their title back but they need fire power as they are facing stiff competition from Highlanders, Simba Bhora and Chicken lnn.
In their previous three title winning seasons Rodwell Chinyengetere nicknamed King Amla was the man to rely on for goals and he would bang them for fun and their fourth title Walter Musona was the goal getter.
His departure left a void, but Mutudza is proving to be the answer.
Shylet Maphosa shared the same view after Mutudza scored the equalizer at Mandava Stadium.
“This Mutudza is going to be a crucial player for MaPlatso. This season we are going to win the title again, but l tell you Mutudza will be having more goal contributions this season,” she said.
