DJ KAULEZA
Augustine Mhembere was born and bred with an ear for rhythm. Long before he was known as Elder Kauleza,he was a young man captivated by the local music scene.
He watched how melodies brought people together and realized early on that music was more than just sound. To him it was a tool to build community so he swiftly carved his name into the soundscape of Zimbabwean broadcasting, transforming from a passionate music lover into the undisputed Voice of Masvingo.

When Hevoi FM 100.2 launched as the premier commercial radio station for Masvingo, it provided the perfect launchpad for his talent. Stepping behind the microphone, Augustine adopted the moniker DJ Kauleza and quickly won over the hearts of the province.
Over the years, he has commanded every major slot on the station, waking the province with The Morning Rush, waking up the province from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM with sharp news and bright morning rhythms to electrifying afternoons with The Rovira Show from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and this high-energy party that keeps drivers, workers and students highly entertained, to the viral relationship and romance segment Nyaya Dzemujolo,a space for listeners to share real-life romance and relationship stories.
His booming catchphrase “Mungwangwaidzi wezvingwangwaidzo!” has become a cultural anthem, echoing across hills and valleys.Beyond the airwaves, Kauleza’s influence is cemented by a string of accolades where he has driven Hevoi FM to win the Outstanding Media Performance Award at the Masvingo Provincial Show, the Radio Station of the Year trophy at the Sundrive Business Summit and remains a perennial favorite at the Masvingo People’s Choice Arts Awards.
Yet his legacy extends far beyond trophies, he uplifts emerging talent through his Midweek-Watch entertainment column, highlighting local live shows, beach parties, and club events.
He also partners with civic groups such as Community Tolerance Reconciliation and Development (COTRAD), to champion peace and development to energizing crowds when national stars like Killer T,Baba Harare, Saintfloew to Jah Prayzah, tour Masvingo at places like Caravan Park and San Siro. For DJ Kauleza, the glowing red studio light is more than a signal that he is live, it is a beacon that binds him to the heartbeat of Masvingo, a province that proudly calls him its legend. Over and above being one of the most beloved regional radio personalities, DJ Kauleza has transformed himself from a local music lover into a powerhouse of Zimbabwean broadcasting and his journey a testament to the power of consistency, community and an unmatched passion for entertainment.
