MSU student (28) commits suicide over love dispute

Gweru – Police has confirmed a suicide case involving a 28-year-old man who died after hanging himself at his place of residence in Senga Township, Gweru.
The incident occurred on 11 May 2024 at 1630 hours.
Circumstances are that, Roy Muchareva, a man, aged 28 of CBZ Houses, Senga in Gweru who is believed to be a student at Midlands State University in Gweru hanged himself.
His body was found hanging from a window burglar bar with a black rope around his neck by colleagues who had visited him.
Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the development and urged people to share their grievances if need be.
“We urge members of the public to always seek counselling instead of taking their lives when faced with challenges,” Mahoko said.
Sources told The Midweek Watch that Muchareva killed himself following a love dispute with his girlfriend whose name is yet to be confirmed.
