MSU FC gaffer is September Coach of the Month

MIDLANDS – Midlands State University FC (MSU) Coach Tavaka Gumbo has been named the Nichrut Lodge Coach of the Month for September 2023.

He walked away with US$100 prize money.

This development was confirmed by the Ruvimbo Funeral ZIFA Central Region Soccer League Acting Vice Chairperson Thomas Marambanyika.

Gumbo was instrumental in the team’s performance for the last two matches, beating Loss Control FC 2-0 and Shabanie Mine FC 1-0.

Other winners include Milton Nyamakope from MSU FC, who was named the Goalkeeper of the Month, and Tongogara FC’s Simon Shanga who was named the Player of the Month. ZPC Munyati’s Aubrey Nyandoro and Chapungu FC’s Edward Watson were named joint top goal scorers as they are tied on four goals.

The goalkeeper walked away with US$70 while Nyandoro received US$100 for his goal-scoring prowess.

The Nichrut Lodge is a monthly award given to outstanding players in the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League.
