The school furniture was acquired using the 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) after the school reached out to the legislator.

Speaking at the hand over ceremony, MP Mureri said that he was approached by the school head Oddy Matongo and outlined to him the challenges they were facing in terms of furniture.

“I was approached by the school SDC and they highlighted the need for school furniture. I then sat down with my Development Committee and we saw it fit to donate chairs and desks to the school from the 2025 Constituency Development Fund. That is why we are here today with our donation of 40 chairs and 40 desks. We had a brief meeting and l was advised there is need for more chairs and desks since there are 54 students in the class so l will make another addition of 14 chairs and 14 desks,” he said.

He added that he believes the furniture will go a long way in easing the learning challenges being faced by the students.

“This is just the beginning, we still have a long way to go, will work with the Committee to see what else we can do to make life better for the learners. There is nothing bad with giving back to the community,” MP Mureri said.

The schools Head Girl, Anesu Ishedzawanda greatly appreciated the kind gesture by Advocate Mureri.

“On behalf of all the students here at Ndarama High School l would like to thank you for your kind gesture.

Thank you honorable for gracing us for the first time and promising to be with us in various occasions to come as you focus on fostering a conducive environment for us. We hope that you continue to assist us in addressing our challenges which include infrastructure to reduce hot sitting, development of sports grounds and providing educational and learning resources to keep up with technological advancement,” she said.

The school has been doing hot-sitting due to shortage of chairs, desks and infrastructure.

Ndarama High School students are known for developing AI-driven platform called MI-Lab, which provides offline science experiments, career guidance, and various learning resources.
