MBERENGWA-The ZRP is investigating a case of murder which occurred at Village 4, Dunning Farm in Mberengwa.
Two suspects, Manyaya Muvhecha and Shepherd Mhundonga, allegedly assaulted Viola Hove (20) a thigh vendor on allegations of stealing $500 from them.
The two suspects kidnapped the victim along with her friend on May10, accusing the victim of stealing the money after they had hired the two for a sleepover.
The victim was reported missing by her sister and the case was filed at ZRP Mberengwa.
On May 16, 2025 the victim’s friend reported the murder case and led the police to the scene. The body was found in a decomposing state according to memo signed by national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi.
