Mavhaire rescues Mamoti ECD learners

The 23 August harmonised election CCC House of Assembly candidate for Masvingo Central, Moses Mavhaire has rescued Ward 13 Mamoti Village community by donating material for a preschool to alleviate the plight of ECD learners.

Mamoti Village is about 5 kilometers away from Machitenda Primary school which has well established preschool.

The ragged terrain makes it impossible for children between 2 to 4 years to walk to Machitenda. For the children to attend Machitenda Preschool they have to climb over a mountain which is even difficult for adults.

The parents of Mamoti Village approached Moses Mavhaire in 2019 for a helping hand. The respected politician has never disappointed. He has helped in building the two classroom blocks which is at roofing level.

Mavhaire donated the roofing material to the community on Saturday (8/6/24). The event was attended by Jeffryson Chitando, Francis Tazvitya and other opposition leaders from other surrounding wards.

The community preschool has an enrollment of 45 learners and one qualified teacher who is being paid by the parents.

“We have to help the children. The children who are at this preschool are our future leaders. Remember the parents of these children support different political parties. This is not vote buying but I am paying back to the community. I love the people of Masvingo Central. The little we have we must give to our communities,” said Moses Mavhaire.

“I am appealing to every Zimbabwean who feel that the Mamoti Pre-School must be completed to give a hand. There is no donation which is small. We want window frames and panes, cement, furniture, manila sheets, toys, playground equipment, balls, etc. This is the community’s initiative. The preschool helps parents to do their productive work as children will be meaningfully and educationally occupied,” added Moses Mavhaire .

Yesterday, temperatures were very low with some drizzles here and there but the Mamoti villagers braved the chilly weather to come and meet Moses Mavhaire as he donated roofing iron sheets.
