Amidst the lush greens of a golf course in the Midlands Province of Zimbabwe, five talented lady golfers put their skills on display in the Midlands Ladies Stroke Play Tournament of 2024.
The tournament, held over two days, saw the ladies compete across 18 holes for top honours in three different divisions.
The Championship Division featured a fierce battle between some of Zimbabwe’s finest golfers, including defending champion Batsirai Tilowakuti and the eventual winner, Kudzai Mandava

The Club Championship took place on May 25th and 26th, 2024, featuring an 18-hole competition across five divisions for ladies. There were 70 players who took part in the tournament.
The event celebrated local talent and showcased the dedication of golfers from different regions of Zimbabwe
The Championship Division comprised 5 golfers who played very well.
Champion: Kudzai Mandava with a handicap of +1 achieved a gross total of 155 and a net total of 157 across the 18-hole event.
Runner-up: Batsirai Tilowakuti as the defending champion, with a handicap of 0 and a gross total of 162 and a net total of 162.
Third position was Tracy Humbira with a handicap of 08
As the tournament wrapped up, the enthusiasm and camaraderie among the golfers was commendable. Their passion for the sport and determination to excel on the golf course should serve as inspiration for other women in Zimbabwe and beyond to take up golf, a sport that offers not only physical benefits but also a chance to connect with nature, build lasting friendships, and develop valuable skills such as focus, discipline, and resilience.
