Its mission is to empower active civic participation in society’s governance practices around natural resources to ensure a culture of accountability, human rights protection and freedoms.CRD believe that citizen engagement is the sine qua non for public accountability. From this viewpoint, CRD engage citizens with duty bearers, policy makers and business from grassroots to national level in dialogues. These dialogues enable citizens to occupy critical space in governance frameworks and defend their rights. The success of CRD advocacy work is anchored on research and documentation, community mobilization, networking and information dissemination.
Who are we looking for?
CRD is seeking to recruit the services of a qualified finance and admin personnel.
Key Roles and Responsibilities.
Ø Preparing monthly progress reports, management reports and
financial reports from time to time to aid in decision making.
Ø Prepare project income & expenditure reports.
Ø Prepare payroll to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and benefits checking vouchers, invoices, requisitions, expenditure returns in order to validate their
authenticity and accuracy of entries in the ledger.
Ø To undertake audit preparations in order to ensure audit preparedness and timely execution. Undertake cash flow management in order to ensure that there are adequate funds for the program requirements. Undertake overall record keeping functions for all financial transactions for audit purposes and effective accountability.
Undertake budget control and tracking to ensure that budgets are not overspend.
Ø Strictly implement and adhere to policies and procedures specified by the organization for compliance purposes.
Ø Provide financial guidance and advice to team leaders and program staff to ensure
greater financial prudence and decision making.
Ø Prepare statutory payments.
Ø To ensure effective procurement through planning, design and implementation of the requisite
systems in line with organizational policies.
Ø Ensure policy compliance for all departments and undertake corrective actions to address non-compliance.
Ø Manage leases to make sure they are current and amendments are processed as required.
Ø Maintain asset registers, conducting regular stock control and update accounting records accordingly.
Ø Maintain finance and administration files both electronically and physically and any other responsibility assigned by the Director.
Minimum Academic qualifications
Degree in Accounting or a Professional qualification
ZAAT, CIS/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent; At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in the Finance
department, within an NGO Environment. Demonstrable familiarity and experience with donor regulations.
