Masvingo is set to come alive on 30 August 2025 with the much-anticipated Mix & Mingle first edition, a vibrant community event designed to celebrate local talent, family fun, and youth empowerment.

The event will take place at Caravan Park, starting from 10 AM till late, and promises a full day of entertainment with “Vintage Vibes”.
Organised by The Midweek Watch ladies staff member and other local partners, the event will feature a wide range of activities including couples and adult games, a kids modelling show, kids games and live performances by some of Masvingo’s finest upcoming artists such as Kylor Lupac, Elisha Prazen, Smailah King, 12 G, Tannes, Mafaizw, Fortuezw Lucky Tee and DJ Tensonman.
A surprise guest artist is also set to headline the entertainment segment, with veteran MC Elder Kauleza, DJ Maestro, DJ Hacker and DJ Phill on rotation throughout the day.
In a special focus on youth and community health, the event will also feature a poetry session on drug and substance abuse by a students from Ndarama High School, while officers from the ZRP/CID Drug Abuse Unit will take a slot to engage the public on these pressing social issues.
One of the early highlights of the day will be the kids’ Modelling Show, running from 10 AM to 12 PM, where young participants will showcase their confidence and talent before a panel of judges including Dillish Makatendeka Masango, Nothando Gugulethu Sibanda, and Lysanda Gwaze.
Fun activities like a jumping castles, face painting, egg and sack races, and a food competition will also keep young ones entertained.
Tickets are affordable with kids paying 3, adults5, and VIP access going for $10.
Infants enter free, and tickets are available at Bakers World and The Midweek Watch office.
Organisers have also promised free alcohol and exciting prizes, though no alcohol from outside will be permitted.
The dress code for the event is vintage which will set tongues wagging as show goers dig deeper into their wardrobes for that yesteryear wear.
