Masvingo- Church of Christ run Mashoko Christian schools continue to consolidate their positions among the finest educational institutions in Masvingo province.
The schools under Mashoko group are; Masvingo Christian, Chiredzi Christian, Dewure in Gutu District, Dandawa High a boarding school in Hurungwe District in Mash West Province, Matara in Zaka District, and Mashoko High in Bikita District.
The schools recorded impressive results in the 2023 ZIMSEC A Level exams as they were among the best in the province.
Standing on pole positions is Masvingo Christian High which recorded a 100% pass rate with the school having 6 of its students recording 15 points with 121 learners sitting for the exams.
Dandawa and Matara also scored 100% pass rate with 10 students from both schools attaining 15 points, they had 26 and 22 pupils respectively.
Dewure is on second position with a 98.7% pass rate from the 76 students who sat for the exams.
However, the school recorded eight outstanding students who 15 points and above.
The overall best student at the school is Perseverance Mafuruse who had 29 points in science subjects followed by Takudzwa Chikoko who had 25 points in the same subjects.
Mashoko reordered 98.5% pass rate with five of the students scoring 15 points in commercial and arts subjects.
Chiredzi Christian with 70 students had seven of them scoring 15 points and above. Overly the school had a 93.5% pass rate.
The school took pride in Masuna Tafadzwa, Tanaka Dliwayo, and Chamunorwa Cornilious who scored 20 points each followed by Makuyo Tashinga and Anorld Runesu who had 15 points.
The education secretary for Mashoko Christian Schools Samuel Mahwehwe paid tribute to the schools’ teaching staff and students for the impressive results in 2023 A Level exams.
He said the schools will aim to continue offering quality education to students to keep up the impressive pass rates.
