Manhize steel plant shuts down

MVUMA- The country’s largest iron and steel company, Dinson in Manhize, Mvuma has announced a two months shut down to pave way for system upgrade and plant maintenance.

The company’s Public Relations Officer Joseph Shoko confirmed the development in a telephone interview with The Midweek Watch.

“We are having a two months shutdown to allow a smooth system upgrade and plant maintenance.

“However, during the said period, all our employees will be receiving their full salaries,” he said.

The foreign owned miner has shutdown operations barely a year after it started full scale operations.
