Man murdered coming from Chibuku Neshamwari
MASVINGO CITY-What started as a joyful day at Chibuku Neshamwari finals on Saturday ended tragically for Nyararai Siyaviza (22) after he was stabbed to death by unknown suspects.
Siyaviza was coming from Mucheke Stadium where the Chibuku Neshamwari finals were held and was stabbed at around 1am at the corner of Calvin Majange Road and Enand Manyimo Gutsa Street.
Masvingo Province police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa told The Midweek Watch that an argument started between the deceased and some unknown passengers in a Toyota Hiace kombi that was coming from Mucheke Stadium.
Dhewa added that when the deceased alighted at corner of Gutsa and Majange Street in the company of his friends, Tinotenda Matiyo (19) and Andrew Chapwanya (24) of Runyararo West the two unknown suspects followed him.
They started fighting and one of the suspects stabbed Siyaviza below the collar bone and he started bleeding profusely and died on the spot.
“His friends tried to render first aid but it was to no avail as the deceased was bleeding heavily.
“The suspects are still at large but we would like to strongly warn them that the long arm of the law will catch up with them very soon.
“People should desist from solving their differences using weapons or by fighting as this result in the loss of life or in serious injuries,” said Dhewa.
