A Domboshava man was sentenced 24 months imprisonment after breaking into one of National Social Security Authority (NSSA) offices last Sunday.

Taurai Chinherera (30) appeared before Mutare magistrate Poterai Gwezhira charged with unlawful entry into premises.
It was the State’s case led by Sharon Chibvongodze that on 5th October 2025 and at around 0010hrs, Chinherera proceeded to NSSA building CBD Mutare where he jumped the gate and got inside the premises.
“Chinherera went on to climb on top of a small building where he then gained entry into the registry offices at NSSA building company CBD Mutare by breaking the office window using his right hand and forehead. He was arrested by Plucky Dzobo (40) a security guard, while hiding in the registry offices and was brought to ZRP Mutare Central for further management,” prosecuted Chibvongodze.

Nothing was stolen from the premises.
In his ruling magistrate Gwezhira suspended 12 months on condition of good behaviour while the remaining 12 months were converted to 420 hours of community service at Matake primary school in Domboshava.
