BUHERA – Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) run Makumbe High School in Buhera District posted an impressive 100% pass rate in the November 2023 Zimbabwe School Examination Council (Zimsec) A Level results with 64 candidates scoring 10 points and above.
The most outstanding students Tinotenda Mapedzanhamo scored 20 points in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, and Shalom Chitakura scored 20 points in History, Shona, Heritage and PE.
Speaking in an interview with The Midweek Watch, Makumbe High head, Taurai Rusekeni said the school produced quality results through the hard work and cooperation among the stakeholders.
“We owe our successs to our teaching and non-teaching stuff, the school administration, parents among other stakeholders. They worked so hard for the students to produce quality results,” said Rusekeni.
Nineteen other students scored 15 points, 15 candidates scored 14 points, nine scored 13 points and six have 12 points.
The pass rate improved from 98% in 2022 to 100% in 2023.
