Lady, 3 men in Noah kidnap, rob, kill Mvuma juvenile

Mvuma-Three men using a Noah Toyota kidnapped a juvenile, robbed him, severely bit him and killed him in Mvuma area on May 13, 2023 at around 0830am.

The late John Mbano (17) boarded the Noah Toyota in Chivhu together with two other people on their way to Masvingo when he met his fate.

Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Emmanuel Mahoko urged members of the commuters to use public transport and to desist from boarding private or Mushikashika vehicles as some of them are used by criminals

“Once again, we urge members of the public to desist from boarding Mushikashika motor vehicle but instead use public motor vehicles when travelling.

“Also, those with information that can help in the Mvuma kidnapping and murder case may approach their nearest police station.” Mahoko

Mbano and two other commuters boarded a silver Toyota Noah motor vehicle at Chivhu Chicken Inn going to Masvingo.

The vehicle had three men and a lady on board and upon reaching a point near blue gate, the driver made a U-turn to Chivhu using a detour road.

The vehicle was stopped in the bush and the four demanded money and valuables from the Mbano and other two commuters. They went on to strip off their victims’ clothes, tied their hands with cables and assaulted them using an iron bar.

The suspects robbed the victims of US$285 cash, R100 two cellphones and various groceries.

After committing the crime, they dropped off Mbano and left him in a bush about two metres from the road. They went on to drop off the other two victims on their way back to the highway and sped off.

At the scene, Police searched and found Mbano’s body in the bush with stab wounds all over and was taken to Mvuma District Hospital mortuary.
