MILLICENT HUNGWE
Junior Driving School has embarked on an empowerment program by training all 16 years old and above learners from its sister organisation, Junior High so that they can be their ‘own drivers’ with class 4 licenses.

This life-changing program, which began in 2022, aims to prepare learners with essential life skills that go beyond the classroom as they will be able to drive in public.

Speaking on the success of the initiative, Managing Director and founder of Junior Holdings which incorporates, Junior High, Junior Primary, Junior Construction, Junior Security and Junior Driving, Noah Marima said, “the initiative is meant to equip learners with life skills that are prerequisites in everyday modern life.

“We started this program in 2022, and I can confirm that more than 80 students have acquired driver’s licenses through this initiative.”
The program has received positive feedback from both parents and students, who applaud the opportunity to gain driving experience and certification before completing high school.

It reflects Junior Holdings’ commitment to youth empowerment and practical education, ensuring students are ready for real-world responsibilities.
Junior Driving School instructor Vincent Gopoza said, “Teens can travel without relying on parents, guardians, or public transportation, it allows for more freedom in managing school, work, sports, and social activities.

“Teens with a license can help with family errands or transport younger siblings, they can assist in emergencies by driving someone to a hospital or helping during a crisis.
“The licensing process educates young drivers about road safety, laws, and their responsibilities on the road.”
“This is the way to go, Junior Holdings is leading by example, they are setting the standards, the modern world is very demanding and having a driving license is a prerequisite in this unforgiving world. Kudos to Mr Marima for his visionary leadership, he has shown that he has the learners at heart, we are excited and wish him the best in his innovative life, Marima ndizvo,” said Julianna Makanyire of Rhodene.
