Isuzu KB300 rams into VED Nissan NP300

MASVINGO CITY-A Vehicle Examination Department inspector is luck to be alive after a speeding Isuzu KB300 rammed into a stationery Nissan NP300 where he was operating from along Harare road, 2km from Masvingo City CBD opposite his workplace.
The Isuzu twin cab which was coming from Harare was trying to overtake a haulage truck when the driver lost control and rammed into the stationery Nissan where VED inspector Arthur Mazhakata (54) of Mucheke D was seated.
Mazhakata was luck as he only sustained scratch on the forehead and went to Makurira Memorial Clinic where he received treatment and was discharged on the same day (24/08/24).
The Isuzu truck which was being driven by Daniel Favhoro of Nharira Views in Norton had its bonnet damaged.
Masvingo Province ZRP deputy spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Masauso Patinyu warned drivers to observe speed limits when travelling as it is easier to control a vehicle in the event of an emergency.
He also added that some drivers are getting carried away by the newly rehabilitated Beitbridge Harare road and end up speeding where one should not do so.
