MIDWEEK REPORTER
NYANGA-There is a strong suspicion of an internal hand behind the theft of US$28 068 meant for workers’ salaries of Tsanga Flora in Juliasdale, Nyanga on March 29 from the company’s offices.
On March 28 at around 5pm Elias Nyazenga (51), Tsanga Flora operations manager together with Thomas Tsaha (46) an accountant knocked off and locked their respective offices as usual.
On March 29 the following day Portia Sarah Saunyama (48) a general hand went to Elias to get keys in order to clean the offices.
Upon opening the office she found it upside down and immediately went back to Elias to inform him but could not find him and his mobile phone was not being picked.
Sarah went on to inform Morris Mandigora (22) a security guard on duty who reported the matter to Sole Campbell (30) Tsanga Flora general manager.
Sole reported the matter to ZRP Nyanga who found out that the robbers had entered into the operations manager’s office and took US$2 568 and proceeded to the accountant’s office where they stole US$25 500 and nothing was recovered.
National Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the theft and said no arrest had been made while investigations are going on.
