In 1980, I was doing grade 4 at Guni primary school, Chikwanda, Gutu South Constituency. I spent my primary school level, being nomadic; one year I will be at Guni and the next either at Ngwindi, Dapi-tapi or Chishamiso schools in Hippo Valley Estates, Chiredzi.
 I hated spanking at school, that was the major reason why I transferred annually.
At Guni, that year 1980, there was a grade 6 teacher called Mr Hungwe, who hailed from Chivi Tribal Trust Lands. Teacher Hungwe was a man who loved singing traditional songs with his class. His favorite song was ;
” Ndafunga kumusha,
Kwanguu, kumakomo
Dai, ndine nemapapiro,
Ndaienda, ndafunga kumusha kwangu….”
That song could be sung at an interval of every thirty minutes, in actual fact the teacher was very radical and disrespected authority. Whilst other staffers were busy teaching, he was busy fine tuning bass, tenor, soprano, etc. This song came back to me again when the Somalian referee was humiliated at MIAMI Airport. I began thinking of my continent, Afrika. Why it deserves to suffer, like this. Every Tom and Jack doesn’t respect it.
On 8 June 2026, every social media was trending on why a Somalian referee, Omar A. Artan, who was supposed to officiate at world cup games was denied entry at Miami airport, USA. Some were asking why in the first place he was given a visa, which was later revoked? And others were asking, if it was not the duty of CAF and FIFA to see that such inconveniences don’t occur?
As an afterthought the FIFA president Gianni ” Giyani ” Infantino told reporters that, ” It was not the duty of his body to say which official or player the host country should give or deny entry.” This answer simply shows us that FIFA and CAF subscribe to nimbyism (as long it is not in my backyard, why should I give a damn).
The history goes like this : CAF hold its continental jamboree this year in Morocco. And the final was between Senegal and Morocco. The game was fast and emotional, and near the end of the game Morocco was awarded a penalty which Senegal boycotted, citing similar occurrences during the game which didn’t meet such a sanction. The game was halted for nearly fifteen minutes, and resumed. Finally, Senegal won the continental championship.
After nearly 2 to 3 months, CAF met somewhere and indicted Senegal for breaking football rules, during that game. The championship was reversed and given to Morocco. It was done in the boardroom by Patrice Motsepe (CAF president) and his gang. The world knew about it through a press conference. No public debate on the matter, why CAF has the right to armtwist the results. And Giyani Infantino and Motsepe still owe us no explanation, ‘why Donald Trump’s government is running the show and not them’?
The US government has denied visas to many officials and supporters of countries it perceives to be ‘hostile’ towards it. It only needs to mention ” for security reasons ” to justify its wayward behaviour. This referee is now allegedly accused of commenting badly about Trump yesteryear. Do you know this country called America, it has a long history of framing individuals and countries? Remember Iraq, Libya, Venezuela, Iran, South Africa, etc. It only needs dunderheads to buy its cheap propaganda.
‘Giyani’ is captured and he has nothing to say. Motsepe is another John Vuli Gate, waiting to rub shoulders, with ” Who is Who” of this satanic world. The Senegal team was subjected to treatment of ” Guantanamo Bay.” FIFA and CAF still see no wrong on that. Monkeys from Africa, if you give them enough nuts, they will say ” we have God with us” ( mwari wadzuruka .
If CAF took sometime to think of revoking the championship from Senegal, and why not do the same now comrade Motsepe, just pull out of this cheap spectacle run by cheap minds. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery. Your great, great, great, great grandfather’s were hewers of wood and nomadic, plantation careers in the U.S.A! You their great, great, great, great, sons, you still possess that DNA. Cry my Beloved Continent.
America always see a log in someone’s eye. “South Africa is persecuting Boers. Nigeria is killing Christians, Zimbabwe took away lands from the Aryan race, Russia invaded Ukraine, Venezuela is selling hard drugs, Iran is manufacturing weapons of mass destruction, North Korea is a rogue state, etc”. But America possesses all those personalities.
