Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) has extended the deadline for the payment of graduation fees from 30 August to 25 September 2025, giving graduands more time to prepare for the upcoming ceremony.
In a public notice released by the university, the adjustment applies to all students eligible for the 19th Graduation Ceremony scheduled for 8th of October 2025 at the Main Campus Sports Arena.
“The deadline for payment of graduation fees is 25 September 2025,” reads part of the statement.
The university had initially set 30 August 2025 as the deadline but the revised date now gives graduands nearly a month longer to meet the requirements.
Graduands from the November Class of 2024 are expected to start collecting certificates while June Class of 2025 dates will be announced later but transcripts are being issued.
The GZU’s 19th graduation fees are packed at USD125 for undergraduates, USD135 for Masters and USD180 for PhDs.
The notice serves as a reminder for both local and international graduands to ensure payments are made on time, as only fully paid up students will be allowed to participate in the graduation proceedings.
