The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested Tsamwai Gwekwerere for selling State land. He is charged with fraud as defined in section 136 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act.
Allegations against Gwekerere are that sometime in February 2024 he sold a piece of land in Pemhiwa Village to Dr Maria Goss.
The piece of land belonged to the state and forms part of the grazing land for the Mariga community in Zvimba.
The accused is detained at Chinhoyi Police Station and will appear at Chinhoyi Magistrate Court on 20 September 2024 for initial remand.
