Gokomere High hunts for new head

MASVINGO-Roman Catholic Church run Gokomere High School is in search of a new head following the transfer of under fire Acquanos Mazhunga transferred to a school in Epworth, Harare.
The new head has a mammoth task of turning around fortunes of the school which has in recent years experienced a drop in pass rate as well as deteriorating standards.

Gokomere used to be one of the best boarding schools in the country producing such luminaries like Dr Solomon Huruva Mukungunugwa.
The new head will be responsible for providing of professional leadership to the school, maintenance, improvement of standards and levels of learning and achievements in all facets of the school among other duties.
“Interested persons must be an experienced substantive head with sound comprehension of Cambridge and Zimbabwe Secondary School Curriculum and be conversant with Catholic Church and MOPSE education policies.
“The suitable person must be flexible to work in a Catholic environment and highly dedicated professional with excellent levels of integrity and honesty,” reads part of the advert.
