Masvingo United Residents and Ratepayers Alliance board chairman, Thomas Mbetu (in yellow track jacket) joins Masvingo United FC (popularly known as Una Una by its legions of fans) committee, technical team, and players as they drum up support and motivate players ahead of their game against JM Busha 54 FC in Mtoko last Saturday.
Mbetu and other well-wishers chipped with transport money for the team and urged them to take pride in donning the iconic jersey to bring glory to Masvingo.
The players were also taken through the rich history of the team which has a cabinet full of trophies from as far back as the days of the late hero, Tanda Mhunga Tavaruva as a way of motivating them.
The trophies were also on display on the day at one of Mhunga’s garages in the industrial areas.
Unfortunately, Una Una went on to lose their season opener against JM Busha 54 FC.
