MUTARE CITY- After over two decades of neglect the Florida social center is re-opening this Saturday with a bang under new management and the event is open to everyone.
The social had been reduced to a shack with the hall having been turned into a den for drug abusers as school children were frequenting the place for a sip of the wise waters and smoking of dagga.
Thanks to Berven Chitungo, the Director of Mwenje Chillspot the place has been transformed and the opening event promises to be exactly what the doctor ordered as there will be fireworks.

Speaking to The Midweek Watch, Chitungo said he was excited to give back to the society and this was an innovation to unite the youths from different backgrounds. He also added that the Hall is now ready to host social gatherings, weddings and church services.
On the official opening day there will be a Basketball tournament to be hosted by Manicaland Basketball Association for all age groups and state of the art Mwenje Spot located at the same premises will open its doors to the public as well.
