The club emphasized its commitment to integrity and adherence to all laws and regulations.
“FC Platinum is aware of recent reports regarding its senior team players as well as unsubstantiated allegations against them.
“FC Platinum operates with integrity and adherence strictly to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. We view these allegations with the seriousness they deserve and are currently reviewing all options available to address this matter appropriately.
“We urge the public and the media to refrain from spreading unverified information that can cause unwarranted reputational damage. Should further communication be necessary, we remain open to transparent engagement through the appropriate channels..,” reads part of the statement.
The club lost 5-2 to Scottland FC and it was their first loss in the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL).
The loss led to speculation in some corners and social media platforms that as many as six FC Platinum players had been paid off to contribute to lose the match.
