ZVISHAVANE – Former Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Champions FC Platinum will need to pull a miracle if they are to have a fifth title after they fell 2-0 to Dynamos on Sunday.
Two quick fire goals from Emmanuel Ziocha and Valentine Kadonzvo exposed Mapeza’s man in the defense and as a result they are now nine points behind log leaders Simba Bhora with three games to go.
Simba Bhora just need a single point from the remaining games to record their maiden title since their promotion to the Premier Soccer League.
A mid week encounter away at Arenel Movers will probably be a penultimate game for the Shamva based side, with a matchday 33 against Fc Platinum set to be a dead rubber if they are to win.
FC Platinum made all the crucial signings during the preseason however the departure of Walter Musona proved costly as they did not have the creativity he brought to the club which he then went on to exhibit at Simba Bhora.
Coach Norman Mapeza still believes they can pull this off as there are still three games to play at the end of the season.
Today’s result is not shaking him away from clinching the title.
