A man who misrepresented himself as a clearing agent is on the run for defrauding a company of US$36 125 and R35 000.

Malam Mombe of Lee Farm Plot 3 in Nyazura misrepresented himself as a clearing agent to Gibson Tangarira (44) of Springs Logistics in Harare.

Mombe was given US$36 125 and R35 000 on Tuesday by Gibson in Rusape to clear a bulldozer, an International truck, a trailer and a Mahindra pick up truck at Forbes Border Post.

Soon after getting the money from the complainant, the accused who is on the run pretended to be going to the border but he was never seen until now.

Manicaland Province police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka is appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Mombe to approach the nearest police station.
