MASVINGO-There is a full package of entertainment in the ancient city as workers commemorate labour during the long weekend until Monday.
From the outskirts of the town in Muchakata at Tumbare Night Club there will be live performance by Masvingo’s own Sungura ace Last Chirambamuriwo on April 28.
Chirambamuriwo will be backed by his band Vadamburi Express(Loczola Music) from 6pm at an affordable US$2 per head.
The next day VaDamburi will be performing at Nemamwa Night Club from 6pm till late and will be supported by other local artists.
Vadamburi Express band manager Last Chirambamuriwo promised a polished performance over the two nights and assured their fans that playing in two consecutive nights will not affect their act as they should come in numbers for memorable shows.
“We will be having a brace in the outskirts of Masvingo with the boys. We just thought we could do something for the long weekend and celebrate those who make things happen through different types of jobs.
“It is a workers day and so they should be celebrated. Admission fee is very affordable and for early comers before 6pm they will enter the arena free of charge. The boys are strong and can pull through out the week playing every night and so the fans should not be worried.
“At Nemamwa Night Club be rest assured that the band will be in full swing and ready to take down the club. We are Vadamburi and when it comes to music and performance we will definitely deliver. We are looking forward to both nights and so should the fans. We invite all to come,” said Chirambamuriwo.
Hippo Creek Leisure Resort on the outskirts of town along Mutare Road will be the right place for outdoor chills and binge drinking on Saturday April 29 where Motion Entertainment will be presenting Masvingo Cooler Box Party with clash of DJS from Masvingo with Kalele Makiwa aka Uncle Kyle hosting the show.
Hippo Creek Resort’s Cooler Box Party Volume 2 will start at 10am with some of renowned disc journeys on the deck among them Masvingo Music Awards Best Dj of the year DJ Berto aka Nyasha Matindo, DJ Stavoo (Steven Aleck) , The Doc real name Tafadzwa Mazuru and Sir Kuchy real name Tinovonga Makucha and others.
Activities of the day will range from swimming, boat cruising, fishing, quad bikes, bonfire and target shooting with tickets going for US$5.
In town the most talked about show is Zoey (Noleen Sifelani) and The Red Angels visit to the ancient city where the energetic dancer will be performing at Manhede Night Club on April 30.
Zoey and the Red Angels will perform alongside Mr Candy (Daniel Chandimhara) at the old suburb of Mucheke at Sisk Business Centre where admission will be US$2.
Elsewhere at Caravan Park, Club, Oasis and Liquids Night Club there will be veteran DJs on the deck from Thursday night up to Monday May 1.
