An entrepreneur and philanthropist, Shereni implore the youths to be more industrious and utilise the enabling environment put forward by the Second Republic.

“Education is one of the pillars that will play a huge role in national development.

“As a student, philanthropist and entrepreneur, youths are rightly placed to benefit from the policies being put forward by the government.

“Today I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Development Studies and i an going to use this qualification to benefit my community and the nation at large,” said Shereni.

“Education is the cornerstone of national development,” Shereni declared.

“It opens doors to new opportunities, broadens horizons, and equips individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in life.”

He lamented the distractions that often lead young people astray, such as substance abuse and other vices, stressing that a focus on education is crucial for personal and national progress.

In an era dominated by technology and innovation, Shereni encouraged the youth to seize the opportunities presented by quality education.

“The world we live in today demands a workforce that is educated, skilled, and adaptable,” he said.

“By investing in education, young people can unlock their potential and contribute meaningfully to the development of our nation.”

Shereni’s passion for education is rooted in his experience running the Village Hope in Christon Bank, a school that provides opportunities for underprivileged children, including orphans, those affected by substance abuse, and girls who have fallen victim to early childhood marriages. “Every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances,” he emphasized.

“It is through education that they can define their future and forge their path to success.”

Notably, Shereni highlighted the significance of education in rural development, where the majority of Zimbabwe’s population resides.

“Rural areas often face unique challenges, including limited access to resources and infrastructure,” he said.

“However, with quality education, young people from rural areas can acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to drive development in their communities.”

He cited examples of successful rural development initiatives that have been driven by educated individuals, such as agricultural innovation, entrepreneurship, and community-led projects.

“By investing in education, we can empower rural communities to take charge of their development and create sustainable livelihoods,” Shereni said.

The ZEGU graduation ceremony, which capped 515 graduates, marked a significant milestone in the academic journeys of these individuals.
