DMH, Speciss College sponsored Southern Tours tees off

The annual Southern Tours golf tournament has kicked off in Masvingo this morning with 37 players participating in the prestigious charity event.

Tendayi Gwatiringa who is convening the tournament that is being sponsored by top legal firm, Dube Manikai and Hwacha and Speciss College confirmed the development to The Midweek Watch.

“The Southern Tour Invitational brings an opportunity for us to raise funds and support two local charities (names to be advised when we hand over on Saturday after the game).

“Day 1 being held Friday 28th June and day 2 Saturday 28th June. The game is being played on individual stroke play format. We are very excited that the defending champion, Alex Siyavora is participating,” said Gwatiringa.

Southern Tours charity golf tournament has benefitted Henry Murray School, Alpha Cottages Children’s Home and Old People’s Home before.

The tournament attracts the who is who in the business and public sector fraternity and last year (2023) 44 professional and amateur golfers participated in the tourney.

Today (Friday) there will be an auction in the evening to raise funds for charity.
