Mutare City-Dangamvura barber, Clever Marumbwa aka B-Legend was on Saturday 27 July stabbed to death by six unknown man at a foot bridge between Area 3 and Beta Shopping Center.
Manicaland Province acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the sad news to The Midweek Watch.
It is alleged that at around 8pm, Clever Marumbwa(39) and Retiscence Mutare(26) who is into potatoe trading at Dangamvura Complex were coming from work to Beta Shopping center.
As the two were passing through a footbridge between Area 3 and Beta Shopping center, 6 unknown male adults emerged from the dark and they asked them to surrender all their valuables.
The suspects then divided themselves into two groups of three and started attacking Mutare and Marumbwa. Mutare was stabbed once on the back and once on the right arm and they took away a power bank, Samsung A 30 cellphone and US$50 cash.
Murambwa was stabbed once on the stomach and twice on his left buttock and fell on the ground as they took away a Huawei cellphone and three hairclippers whereupon they disappeared.
Mutare fled from the scene and ran to nearby houses crying for help. People came to the scene and found Marumbwa lying on the ground in a pool of blood. A well wisher rushed the two to Victoria Chitepo Hospital and Murambwa was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The Police are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
